Nordstrom Bistro Cafe is a little hidden gem inside several Nordstrom stores around Saint Louis malls. We were lucky to come across this restaurant while shopping at the Galleria one day and were thrilled with what we found! This is definitely a step up from the food court options you usually find in the malls.

We finally made it back to Local Harvest Cafe, located near Tower Grove Park. We combined our trip with a visit to their famous outdoor Farmer’s Market and a bike ride through Forest Park! We had been here once before with and were quite impressed with the quality of the food, but the service was quite slow. Going back, the service could not have been more prompt and the food was just as delicious as we remembered it to be! We visited Saturday for brunch, but were advised that Sundays can be a bit more crowded. We were also advised by our knowledgeable and delightful waitress that the restaurant experienced major ownership changes a couple of years ago, which could have explained the change in service.

We first visited The Wolf on a Tuesday night, which also happened to be open mic night. The relaxing environment really stuck out to us, and it was so much fun enjoying some original music and delicious food. We have visited during lunch hours also and found the menu to be delightful and enticing, with very high quality food to choose from!
This restaurant has continued to be excellent and is a long time favorite. We have brought out of town family here over the years and friends/ family always enjoy the varied menu ( even if they don’t care about food quality like we do. ) We also rented out their back room on a week night for a birthday celebration a couple of years ago and everyone enjoyed the excellent food. 12/30/24

Winslow’s Home is a unique restaurant dedicated to providing fresh and local foods. How fresh is it? A lot of the produce comes straight from their own garden, into the kitchen, and on to our plates. It’s a great sit down restaurant, but they also sell a range of other items from baked goods to cool home decor.

Or Juice and Smoothie is a great place to stop for an organic juice or smoothie, or quick high quality salad or snack. The majority of ingredients are organic and the owners seem to be aware of health foods, carrying several high quality supplements and food supplies in their store.

We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. This local eatery has recently expanded to provide some nice seating for guests. Their first expansion was in December 2013 and their 2nd was this past summer, 2014. The place was bustling, and the food was quite good. This is an all vegetarian restaurant and they had several gluten free and vegan items which we were thrilled about. This restaurant was definitely another winner and we will be back again!

Hannah came into town for her fall break last week and we planned another girls day for the three of us. We went to Grant’s Farm in the morning and had so much fun feeding the goats and camels. By the time we were done looking at all the animals we were starving, so not having anywhere to eat we turned to Google. Seedz Cafe was the first restaurant that popped up when we searched for organic restaurants so we thought we would try it out. It turned out to be an adorable little organic and vegan cafe style restaurant that had the highest quality food we have found so far. This one was a definite winner and we can’t wait to go back! Knowing about our love for natural foods, a friend of ours introduced us to Prasinos after a positive dining experience there with her family. It was my last weekend home for the summer and we decided to stop there for lunch on our last girls day together. We spent time exploring downtown St. Charles and enjoyed a wonderful lunch.
