Houlihan’s is a chain that serves a lot of “regular” food. Although they aren’t our favorite place to support, we do like the fact that they are at least trying! It is a great go-to restaurant and it’s nice to know that there are a couple things on their menu that you can order without feeling too guilty.
One of their salads is served with organic greens, so their salads are a great option. The Organic Power Greens salad is served with fresh strawberries, blueberries, goat cheese, and poppy seed dressing. It is our favorite and is absolutely delicious.
Although Houlihans is not a gluten free restaurant they do have a gluten free menu that let’s you know which items are naturally gluten free and how to make an item gluten free. Their original menu is also marked for vegetarian items.
Their menu shares the name of three of their farms that they partner with to get fresher ingredients including Belgioioso Farms where they get cheese from cows that are free of rBST, and Earthbound Farm Organic where they get their organic greens. They also have wild caught scallops from George’s Bank!
The Houlihan’s we go to in Creve Coeur is also a memeber of the reCork project where you can drop off wine corks to be recycled. It is nice to know that they are trying to be eco friendly!
