Being gluten free and having a giant sweet tooth can be tricky, especially when it comes to finding good desserts out. But then we discovered SweetArt, a bakery focusing on using real ingredients that offers a daily gluten free cupcake. Yep you heard right, gluten free cupcakes EVERY DAY! Don’t get us wrong, they also have great food, but we keep coming back for the cupcakes.

This post is long overdue! This past Fall I celebrated my birthday here at the suggestion of a friend. I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious, local food. This restaurant gets top ratings for quality, service and atmosphere. I recommend it with no reservation, especially for a special occasion meal. The menu changes daily depending on availability of local foods, keeping it fresh and exciting! Continue reading Five Bistro
Shout Out – City Coffee House and Creperie
City Coffee House and Creperie is one of the many STL restaurants jumping on the gluten free crepe bandwagon, and we have to say, it’s a good bandwagon to be on. This Clayton cafe serves a variety of salads, coffees, and breakfast foods, but they are most well know for their crepes! The thing that makes them special is that their organic buckwheat batter can replace EVERY regular crepe for just an extra $1 charge.

They get their milk from a local farm in Missouri and they also offer vegan ice cream made with coconut milk, in case you have a dairy allergy! Continue reading Shout Out – Ice’s Plain and Fancy
Shout Out-Olive Street Cafe
The relatively new Olive Street Cafe in Creve Coeur is making an effort to use local Saint Louis products, accommodate gluten free diners and serve a delicious, varied menu for breakfast and lunch. Not to mention that it’s super exciting to have somewhere new open up that isn’t downtown or in Forest Park! Continue reading Shout Out-Olive Street Cafe

For now we would like to give them our very first shout out because of their innovative and creative allergen friendly menu, and the small steps that they are making to be more eco-friendly and have higher quality ingredients!
