Bailey’s Chocolate Bar is in the Lafayette Square and has a variety of small plates, cheese plates, flat breads, desserts and drinks. Of course their specialty though are their items made with chocolate! From chocolate drinks to rich desserts, their chocolate products are all homemade delicacies. Although they are not organic, they do focus on fresh homemade food and have a lot of gluten free options.
Bailey’s Chocolate Bar’s savory food includes pizzettas, salads, sandwiches, and other small plates.
They also have a ton of cheese to choose from to make a cheese plate. The cheese menu tells you where each cheese is made, whether it is a cow cheese or goat cheese, and whether or not it is raw. The cheese plates are served with breads, fruits, and nuts, and can be made gluten free by subbing the gluten free flat bread or focaccia for regular bread.
They have a huge dessert menu ranging from cakes and brownies, to ice cream and sorbet. All of their ice cream and sorbet are homemade and have creative flavors like chai, coconut ginger, and grapefruit.
We tried their chai ice cream which was delicious. They did such a good job incorporating all the spices of chai tea into a sweet ice cream and it really worked! We also tried their Flourless Molten Chocolate Cake with salted caramel ice cream. The warm chocolaty cake was super rich with a gooey center and was great to share with a couple of people.
We highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some drinks, great dessert, or a small bite to eat.
