Welcome to Organic STL! We are three ladies who like to eat and thought it would be fun to explore Saint Louis restaurants and share our experiences. After a complete home transition from processed foods to organic, nutrient dense foods, we began to explore restaurants in the Saint Louis area that live up to our lifestyle change. We look for restaurants who cater to dietary needs (vegan, dairy free, paleo, gluten free), use organic produce, and minimize their environmental impact by using recycling and green dining practices. We hope you enjoy reading about the food we have eaten, as much as we have enjoyed eating it!
About our rating system
We will not include restaurants on this blog that do not meet our minimum standard for food quality. What that means is that the restaurant must make some effort to purchase and serve locally grown, sustainable or organic produce, or dietary friendly food options. Credit is also given to restaurants which try to limit their environmental impact by recycling, composting, or other practices. Our ratings are on a 5 star system ★★★★★
★= acceptable
★★= good
★★★=very good
★★★★=outstanding
★★★★★=exceptional

(update) We have all 3 moved on to other projects and passions as of 2021. We still care very much about nutrient dense foods and supporting local restaurants committed to serving healthy foods. We are currently choosing to keep this website up as a community service and will monitor periodically for readership to decide if that makes sense. We will also try and update as a minimum if there are restaurant closings.
Thanks for caring about healthy eating and supporting local!
Hi Ladies. Not sure if you remember me I met you and one of your daughters at OR juice and smoothie a few weeks ago. I just wanted to show some support and let you know I have spread the word about your food blog to all of my foodie friends 🙂 Also I am looking forward to your post regarding your OR review. I also wanted to mention a resteraunt you may enjoy if you like ethnic food. It’s called Everest cafe, on manchester rd. Keep up the great work!
Hi Samantha,
Yes, we remember you! We enjoyed our “food” chat. Thanks for your kind words and for spreading information about our blog!! 🙂 We plan to post a review of OR juice soon. We were certainly impressed with their quality ingredients. Thanks again,
Michelle
